COPPER-TUNGSTEN

M.U.T. Multi Utility Tools Srl supplies Copper-Tungsten electrodes and components primarily designed for EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) applications, particularly for the production of PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) tools.
We manufacture disc electrodes, cup electrodes, and custom-profile electrodes, with diameter, thickness, and bore dimensions tailored to customer specifications and machine requirements.
Different Copper-Tungsten grades are available according to the required hardness and surface finish of the PCD inserts being produced.
We also supply Copper-Tungsten punches and EDM electrodes for machining cemented carbide and tungsten carbide, where a more wear-resistant material than conventional copper or copper-beryllium is required to reduce electrode wear, improve dimensional accuracy, and increase process stability.
HEAVY TUNGSTEN ALLOYS

Thanks to our extensive experience with tungsten-based materials, we have developed premium-quality heavy tungsten alloys based on Tungsten-Nickel-Iron and Tungsten-Nickel-Copper compositions.
Also known as vibration-damping alloys or simply heavy alloys, these materials combine extremely high density with excellent mechanical properties, making them ideal wherever balancing, vibration absorption, and bending resistance are critical requirements.
Unlike cemented carbide, heavy tungsten alloys have lower hardness but can be machined by conventional turning and milling operations, simplifying manufacturing and component customization.
They also provide excellent resistance to heat, corrosion, X-rays, and gamma radiation, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial and technical applications.
M.U.T. Multi Utility Tools Srl supplies heavy tungsten alloys in various sizes and formats, always recommending the most suitable composition according to the final application.
We are particularly active in the field of brazed PCD tooling, where heavy alloy shanks significantly improve tool performance thanks to their exceptional vibration-damping properties. Special boring bars, shafts, and precision tooling are among the most common applications.
We can supply raw or pre-ground cylindrical bars from Ø4 mm to over Ø80 mm, with standard lengths of 330 mm or custom dimensions manufactured according to drawing.
Upon request, we also produce custom-shaped components and special blocks frequently used in the aerospace, defense, marine, chemical, and precision engineering industries.
PURE TUNGSTEN

For highly specialized applications requiring exceptional heat resistance combined with high hardness, we supply pure tungsten with a purity greater than 99.95%.
With a melting point of 3,422°C, tungsten remains stable and solid under extreme temperatures where most metals would melt or vaporize.
Pure tungsten also features very high density, comparable to gold, together with excellent electrical and thermal conductivity.
These characteristics make it particularly suitable for electrodes, plasma nozzles, technical glass processing, and the forming of molten materials and special alloys.
M.U.T. Multi Utility Tools Srl can assist you in selecting the most suitable tungsten solution, supplying the material as custom-sized cylindrical bars or fully machined components according to customer drawings and application requirements.
